hello,

Loud music, colors in nature, colors not in nature, textures on fabric, interior design and again very loud music inspire Ashleys works. She has used her hands to paint, sew, build a store and decorate a department center. Now, she’s combining these experiences and shaping them into an artistic expression of pattern and color.
Enjoy!

about me…

Growing up in Ocean Springs, MS, and St. Louis, Missouri, I was fortunate to come from artistic women and a family that embraced and nurtured creativity.
As a young adult, my curiosity led me down unconventional paths. Alongside my professional modeling career, I immersed myself in the world of punk shows, illegal raves, and the artistry of graffiti. These experiences became an integral part of my formative years, shaping my perspective and fueling my need for artistic expression.
Seeking to cultivate my creative inclinations, I pursued a formal education in fashion merchandising. Equipped with an understanding of the industry, I opened Tough Love. an independent designer store in Raleigh, where I showcased and celebrated the work of local artisans.
Later, I became the women's visual stylist for Nordstrom. This position allowed me to further explore the intersection between fashion, art, and visual aesthetics, honing my skills and expanding my artistic repertoire.
Through my paintings, I channel the diverse experiences that have colored my life and work. The vibrant hues of spray paint, symbolic of the raw energy and rebellious nature I witnessed during my youth, merge with the sounds of loud, pulsating music that has always been the backdrop to my creative process.
My art is a combination of influences, a reflection of the experiences that have shaped me. It is a testament to the transformative power of artistic expression and the profound impact it can have on our lives.
I hope that my paintings evoke emotions, provoke thoughts, and ignite a sense of connection with the chaotic.
